You need to have a PlayStation Plus or an XBOX LIVE GOLD membership to have full multiplayer access. The PlayStation Plus 1-Year membership goes for $49.99 and the XBOX GOLD LIVE goes for $59.99. Both the consoles come with a 14-day trial but that's not too much. One advantage of these memberships are that on an average you get 2 FREE GAMES every month. XBOX has made Halo : Spartan Assault free and PlayStation made InFamous : First Light free. Both the multiplayers are good but it should have been free, year Plus and Gold members should have got some advantages but they should have been free.
Games
Coming to the main reason of buying these consoles GAMES. As you know, all games are not availiable to each and every console. There are some console exclusive games. You Really need to know the games availiable on your console. PlayStation have a massive amount of exclusives. They have InFamous, Uncharted, The Last of Us, God of War, Final Fantast XIV and many more. On the other hand XBOX offers Halo, Gears of War, Tomb Raider and Forza Horizon 2 to name some. The PlayStation 4 has an edge on this one, the exclusives are just amazing. While XBOX One lacks exclusives it has Halo.
The choice may be difficult but buying a Next-Gen Console is worth it as it just changes your gaming experience.
